Steps to the Altar was the twelfth -- and final -- quilt block pattern chosen for the Anniversary Sampler Quilt, but can be used in any way you like.
Steps to the Alter is a patchwork quilt block that can be sewn in an orderly design, but is also perfect for a scrap quilt. Its tree-like appearance is a perfect choice for an on-point quilt layout.
This traditional quilt block sometimes has slightly different components, and there are other blocks known by the same or similar names, even though they have a completely different appearance. That's common in the world of quilting, where we each tend to change designs to suit our own needs.
Steps to the Altar finishes at 12-inches square.
