Make the Four Patch Units for Quilt Block Corners

Use a 1/4" seam allowance throughout.

  1. Sew the 2" x 17" strips (medium pink and geometric green) together lengthwise. Press the seam allowance towards the darker fabric.

  2. Square up one end of the green/pink strip set and then cut eight 2" wide segments from it.

  3. Sew two segments together to create a four patch unit, flipping one segment around so that like colors are diagonal to each other. Sew together and press seam allowances towards the pink.

Repeat to make a total of eight four patch units.

Make the Long Side Bars

  1. Sew the 2" x 27" strips (light pink and medium green) together lengthwise. Press seam allowance towards the green strip.

  2. Square up one end of the new green/pink strip set and then cut four 6-1/2" wide segments from it.

Make the Half Square Triangle Units

Use my easy sandwich method to sew the two 3-7/8" squares together to create two half square triangle units. Each completed unit should measure 3-1/2" square.
