Texas Puzzle Block
This version of the Texas Puzzle quilt block finishes at 6" x 6". Each patchwork block is assembled with four half square triangle units (HST units) four narrow bars and a small center square. Instructions explain how to sew one Texas Puzzle quilt block using quick pieced HST units plus individually cut bars and a square.Texas Puzzle is one of the quilt blocks found in the Backwards Medallion Sampler Quilt, but feel free to use the pattern for a quilt of your own design.

Cutting instructions describe my quilt block, and without a lot of contrast in the HST units -- choose fabrics to suit your quilt.
Dark Teal Print: (2) 3-5/8" x 3-5/8" squares
Black Print: (2) 3-5/8" x 3-5/8" squares; (1) 1" x 1" square
Red Print: (4) 1" x 3-1/4" bars
