If you like the Oddfellows Chain quilt block, take its basic design a step further and sew a batch of this variation. An evening star unit at the block's center offers even more opportunity for color-play, and is easy to sew.
Try combining both blocks in the same quilt to add extra uumph, and be sure to vary the patches at some block corners so that four like-fabrics don't come together in the same spot.
