Hopscotch Baby or Toddler Quilt Pattern

By January 9, 2013

Follow me on:

Hopscotch Baby Quilt PatternThis Hopscotch quilt is a bit larger than a typical crib quilt, but still a good size for a baby or toddler. The quilt contains no triangles, so it's easy for beginners who might want to stick to (less stretchy) straight grain pieces of fabric. My version of the Hopscotch quilt is monochromatic -- liven it up in any way you like, and change its looks entirely by rearranging the quilt blocks.

Janet I would like to thank you for all the knowlege you bring to About.com quilting. I started here a lot of years ago when I first started quilting. This was the best place of information and FRee patterns. I learned a lot and made some good friends. I know I can come here and find any information I need for a project or if it isn’t here some where I can ask for help and it is a email away or on the forum. I just think sometimes quilters like you don’t get enough credit in what you do. So I am taking my hat off and saying thank you cause if people like you wasn’t there working there wouldn’t be a About.com quilting. God Bless you friend Sharon

Thank you, Sharon. I learn new things from all of the quilters who visit this site, too. Quilting is definitely a fun topic to write about.

Hi Janet..
As I’ve gotten older and can no longer play outside in the snow so I had to find a productive hobby to occupy the long winter. I started out with very basic quilt patterns and have worked my way up to more difficult ones. I must say, my quilts are very popular. I make them for new babies around the family, donate them for benefit raffles, and as gifts for any occassion.
I thought about selling them, but I find after working on them for any amount of time, I feel like we’ve bonded. Kind of like selling one of the kids. =)
I always enjoy your articles and the tips you supply. I hope I can do this for years as it brings me much joy.
Thank you so much,
Shirley H.
