October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so you still have time to make a comfort quilt or a fund raising project. My Cancer Awareness Ribbon quilt block is paper pieced. The block isn't difficult to make, but it does contain long triangles that can be a little tricky to align on the foundation the first couple of times you try. Don't worry if your first triangle isn't quite right -- you'll get it down-pat quickly (and the recommended patch sizes are large enough to make placement fairly flexible).
