heart quiltThose of you who know me know that I love vintage reproduction fabrics, especially prints that were popular during the Civil War era, and that's what I had in mind when I designed this quilt. The fabrics might not all be right-on, but it has a vintage flair. If you aren't a fan of the vintage-look, it's easy to change the quilt's look entirely by simply choosing different fabrics. I rarely sew with solids, but this is a pattern I might consider for an Amish style quilt, combining deep navy or black with brighter colors. To make the Vintage Chains quilt, you'll sew batches of two different ten-inch blocks, and then place them on point and add a couple of borders. The quilt finishes at about 84" x 98".
