Lady of the Lake is one of those quilt blocks that's arranged as a positive and a negative. Two fabrics are all that's required, one darker than the other, and fabrics are flipped-flopped within the block (creating a mirror image from side to side). All components are half square triangles -- a large version in the center, surrounded by twenty smaller units. The pattern includes an example of a quilt made by placing the blocks on point.

I love the “Lady of the Lake” and its variation “Lady in Red”. Definitely destined to go in my To Do file.
I love that pattern, I have also seen the masculine version of The Lady of the Lake, I have forgotten the title, would you happen to know what it is.
