Taking Flight Baby Quilt Pattern

Friday August 15, 2008
baby quilt patternTaking Flight is a baby quilt that measures about 39-1/2" x 47". It's made up of two traditional quilt blocks, Birds in the Air and Thrifty, all placed on point and surrounded by floral setting triangles. An inner gingham border surrounds the main body of the quilt and the big floral used in setting triangles is repeated in a wider outer border with cornerstones. You can change the quilt's theme dramatically by altering fabrics, and Taking Flight is a good candidate for a scrap quilt -- mix it up as much as you like.

Thank you for the beautiful ‘taking flight’ baby quilt pattern! I’ve made it with other fabrics and it has become a beautiful quilt.
