Got Blues? Quilt Pattern

Tuesday July 15, 2008
quiltingWe did a poll awhile back that asked, Which Color Stacks Are Tallest at Your House?. Guess what the overwhelming answer was -- yep, you got it -- blues. So here's a monochromatic blue quilt to help you use up your stash. The blocks are 10" square and the quilt finishes at about 55" x 69". Change the look if you'd like: use bright juvenile prints for a child's quilt or go a little softer for a baby. How about batiks? Oh -- white and black prints with a touch of red, I think I'd like that. Color is up to you and there are endless choices.

Where can I type a request for a Quilting Book I am trying to locate? I am new at this sort of thing. I have been trying to get a copy of Plum Creek Christmas by Joann Wilson. Can anyone help?

We have a folder in the Quilting Forum called Help, I’m Looking For… You can put your request there. You’ll need to become a member to post, but joining is quick and easy — and free. If you haven’t been to the Forum, do take a look, because you’ll find all sorts of people to talk with about quilting or life in general. (I did a quick search for the book and only found it in Guild libraries.)

Is it possible for you to put all instructions that can be printed onto 1-2 pages rather than 4-5 or more like you do now. It is very difficult to print your instructions in comparison to any other site . Thank You

Hi Audrey, I try to condense pages as much as possible. I’m limited somewhat by text constraints and the number of illustrations I can insert on the page have them remain large enough to see.

However, make sure you are using the little “print” icon in the top right area of each page. Using that strips out all of the unnecessary information for printing.
