Awareness Ribbon Colors
I know that lots of you make comfort quilts for friends and family with cancer and other diseases, and donate quilts for auctions when proceeds are given to research facilities. A large number of you have made quilts that are a textile representation of your own journey with the disease. I applaud all of your efforts. I lost a dear sister to breast cancer -- if there's anything I can ever do to help spread the word about a cancer awareness project, just ask.We all know that pink signifies breast cancer awareness, but other cancers and diseases use different colors to show support. My awareness ribbon colors list might help you choose colors for your next awareness quilt. I'm missing some colors and diseases -- if you see a gap please send me an email and I'll add the color to the list.

Hi Janet;
I was wondering if you are going to post the pattern for the ribbons??
My mum passed in 06 from breast cancer having fought it for 20 years and I think this would be a nice quilt to make ‘for her’.
Hi,
I’m not sure where the maker got this pattern, and doing a block exactly like it could be a copyright issue.
I spent some time last year drafting something similar, but didn’t finish. I’ll see about getting that finished.
