Springtime Mosaic Pinwheel Block Pattern

quilt block patternsI wanted the two sets of spokes in the Springtime Mosaic Pinwheel block to vary a bit in color value, but not enough to create high contrast between the two areas. The result is a quilt block with subtle differences in its pinwheels, creating somewhat of a colorwashed look. Go with more contrast if you like, and maybe even consider this one for a brightly colored kids quilt. (Watch for my Springtime Pinwheels pattern, a quilt using this pinwheel variation combined with a Pinwheel in a Square block.)

Many of you are into more crafts than quilting, and I'll bet we have lots of scrapbooking folks out there. Try one of Rebecca's paper-pieced scrapbook patterns if you're looking for something fun to welcome the spring.

  • Spring Paper Piecing Patterns for Scrapbooking
The most economical way to dress up your scrapbook pages for spring is by making the embellishments yourself. These paper piecing patterns show you how to make simple spring flowers, bird houses, picket fences, and even a cheerful Easter bunny.

  • Spring Break Scrapbook Page Sketches
College and high school students will be hitting beaches over the next two months to get away for a week. The desire to "get away" to somewhere inspired these three warm weather scrapbook pages. Each of these layouts comes with a free scrapbook page sketch.
