Spring Cleaning: Organizing the Little Stuff

I've been trying to get organized lately, and some of my worst wintertime messes revolve around the little things, like spools of thread, bobbins, pins and needles. Especially the supplies I threw into a basket or drawer with the best intentions of dealing with them later. Ah well, later has a way of turning into much later, and that means I have to stare at a mish-mash of supplies when it's time to find something. I know they're around -- someplace. Most of these handy organizational tools are small, but each one is helping me keep my little quilting supplies orderly, and without too much effort.

I caught a show on Simply Quilts on HGTV this past week and she had on a guy that gave great ideas on organzing. He used old prescription bottles for bobbins. I also use a prescription bottle for spools of thread. You can also poke a hole in the top to run your thread threw to use while sewing by hand and it keeps everything tidy. Below is the episode:
