Kate and Sophie, our Block Lotto forum hostesses, came up with this pretty 6" heart block, and it's a natural for February's event. The block is assembled with quick piecing techniques, so it's super easy to make. A different focal fabric is used in each half of the block -- you'll choose two pinks or two reds for each heart. I encourage you to participate in the lotto, because it's always a fun activity, but you can use the pattern to make blocks for yourself if online swaps aren't your thing. Be sure to look on the last page of the pattern, because I included instructions for a small heart wallhanging.
