quilting Here's a 10-inch square Christmas Tree quilt block that you can use for a holiday sampler or to create an entire forest of trees across the face of a quilt. Dress the tree up with a bit of hand or machine appliqué if you like. Just cut out small holiday prints and appliqué or fuse them in place -- try little stockings on the tree branches, and teddy bears and presents near its base.

This would also make a nice table runner or placemats to brighten up any holiday setting!

I am making the Christmas Tree block and have a problem. The first strip is 5-1/2″ and there is no way you can get a point at the top with those dimensions. Also my square measures 10″ the pattern says 10and on half but your sqares measures l0. Any help would be appreciated as I am going to make several more.
