American Patchwork & Quilting's Quilt Pink project received a tremendous number of donated quilts, all to be auctioned with proceeds donated to the Susan G. Koman for the Cure organization. Auctions began on April 5th and you'll find a brand new auction each Thursday through mid-October. About 150 quilts will be listed each week -- do the math -- that's a bunch of donated quilts. Visit the group's eBay store to see the quilts that are currently available.
Breast Cancer Awareness Quilts
- Floating Stars of Hope was made from a pattern on About Quilting and donated to Quilt Pink.

Some of our Forum Hostesses are beginning a new project this year. It's entirely optional, but a portion of our swaps will accept extra quilt blocks like those being exchanged. Our hostesses have volunteers who will sew the blocks into quilts to be donated to various charities. Taking part in one of those block exchanges is a wonderful way to add your quilt blocks to a worthwhile cause. Read through the swap offerings to find out which ones are participating.

The quilts are beautiful. I am currently undergoing chemo for Stage 3 breast cancer w/lympnode involvement. I would love to bid on a quilt but considering I have been going through this cancer treatment-along with the surgeries and radiation-I simply can not afford it right now. However I would like to say Thank you to all the wonderful people who made this possible. We need a cure!
