Friday Odds and Ends
Friday October 13, 2006
Some of you might know that I co-own a real estate office and fudge shop. My co-owner makes clothing, but she's never made a quilt, so I'm showing her how to do some things. This week we made a really quick Christmas lap quilt in our spare time--raggy style. The last seams just went around the edges. You can see by the photo that we have lots of clipping to do before we can throw it into the washing machine this afternoon. I'll work on the instructions today, so check back tomorrow morning for the pattern. I think it will fit some of the requests made in the comments section of last week's Christmas poll. In the meantime, here are a few other easy patterns that would be a good match for holiday fabrics.Quilt Patterns
- Janet's Ugly Quilt...you could pretty this up with Christmas fabrics
- Stretched Stars Wallhanging...this might look good with sashings in candy-cane style
- Not Quite Bow Ties...an easy quilt block that would be perfect with a holiday theme
- Scrappy Floating Stars...use different areas of a pretty holiday pictorial at their centers
