(2) Janet, Quilting Guide says:

Hi Carol. That’s not something I’ve seen or feel talented enough to tackle! Perhaps it can be adapted from one or more of the large painting’s that are found in stores. Someone on our forum might have an idea. Just follow the red “forums” link in the left column, past the “buyer’s guide.”

(3) Debi says:

would love to see some ideas for quilted postcards with a Christmas theme; they are all my club is doing and it would be great to send Christmas postcards.

(4) Janet, Quilting Guide says:

Debi, that is actually near the top of my list. I’ve been working on a book project that’s (YAY) almost finished. After that I’ll have all kinds of things to get online. Postcards are a priority.

Chanukkah, or any other Jewish patterns would be great. They are hard to come by and there are many, many of us out here who are looking far and wide for them. I noticed you made no response to Rita’s comment (#5 above), but she is certainly not alone. Thanks for any help you can give us.

October 2, 2006 at 8:29 am

I’m looking for something very clever and different that would be quick to make for Christmas bazaar. Something that could be mass produced and people would buy because they hadn’t seen it before and were intriqued with the design.

October 2, 2006 at 8:38 am
(11) Janet, Quilting Guide says:

Hey Rita and Sandi–I’d definitely do something for Chanukkah, but I need a bit of guidance from that. What’s appropriate–what’s not? What types of things are best? You can put ideas here or send me an email. quilting.guide@about.com

(12) Janet, Quilting Guide says:

On the lap quilts—one version is pretty much handled. I showed my co-owner at the fudge shop/realty business how to make something last week and I think you’ll like it. I’m finishing up a book project right now (and it’s About the site, so watch for that next year) and will get the pattern online before the weekend.

October 2, 2006 at 8:53 am

October 2, 2006 at 9:26 am
(16) Janet, Quilting Guide says:

There’s a small quilt pattern online that might work for Christmas by changing its theme. It’s called Walk Around the Block and has a pictorial panel in the center surrounded by easy nine patch and bar blocks. The little Attic Windows quilt might work too–with holiday prints in the windows. And A Joyous Celebration would go together easily. My example has Christmas prints.
