How to Sew an Accurate Quarter-Inch Seam Allowance

Saturday September 16, 2006
There are several quiltmaking techniques to practice before you begin to make a quilt or swap blocks with other quilters. One of the most important skills you can learn is how to sew an accurate quarter-inch seam allowance. If seams aren't accurate, patches won't align with each other like they should when it's time to sew things together. It's not difficult -- I promise -- and getting your seams down pat now will save you lots of "fix-it" time later.
