Are You Ready for a Challenge?

Monday April 24, 2006
If you've been to our Quilting Forum you know that there's always plenty of lively conversation taking place--and lots of quilting swaps to join. But we also like to challenge each other. Sophie recently encouraged everyone to make a self-portrait in the (Re) Introduce Yourself Challenge. The conversation and portrait quilts have been a real help for me as I get to know the members of our quilting community. I've had a quilt color combo planned for many years now, but couldn't quite put it together. I challenged the forum members to Make a Pink and Orange Quilt, to motivate myself and find others who'd like to share that goal. We even have some non-quilty challenges, like Hilda's Shopping Diet Challenge, tailored for those of us who have too much stuff. I hope you'll stop by sometime. We'd love to get to know you.

I just wanted to say, as a Thalidomide person who is in her second year of quilting, albeit slowly, I find Janet Wickell’s informative columns very easy to follow, as well as being very personable. I am brand new to the Quilting Forum and absolutely love reading the conversations and picking up great tips! Thank you so much as it’s opened up a whole new world for me in doing something I would never have dreamed I could accomplish (quilting)!

I received the Monday mail list suggesting I could visit the Paducah Show and see pictures of some of the quilts, especially the back of the one in the newsletter. However when I use the link it is only to your discussion and no where does it offer me a link to see anything regarding the 2006 A Q S Show and Contest in Paducah, Kentucky.
Why is that? Wht is it I am missing or not doing?

Hopefully you found the link–there was an error in the newsletter–links were flip flopped. If you didn’t, the pics are here.
